Note
If you can't find 38-ounce cans of green beans, you can also use 3-14.5-ounce cans of green beans. The ratio of beans to sauce will be slightly reduced but it will still be delicious!
Expert Tips:
- Cook these green beans on low and low flame. Don't rush them!
- Adjust the soy sauce and brown sugar to suit your taste. You can definitely add more bacon if you like.
- If you use canned green beans, drain them thoroughly before adding the sauce.
- Leave the beans out of the oven for a few minutes, which helps the sauce thicken and gives the flavors more time to blend.
- If you like a little spice, you can add red chili flakes or hot sauce to the recipe.
How to Serve
These green beans are so good that I always serve a bowl of them at dinner. But they're great as a side dish, and I love serving them with oven-roasted chicken, or potato kebabs.
